Ginger Root 1000mg

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) has a long history of use for digestive complaints. The active principles – gingerols and shogaols – act on serotonin receptors (5-HT3) and substance P to suppress nausea and vomiting. Each capsule delivers 1000mg of ginger root extract standardized to 5% gingerols. Clinical efficacy: reduces pregnancy-related nausea (morning sickness) as effectively as vitamin B6; prevents chemotherapy-induced nausea when added to standard antiemetics; reduces postoperative nausea; and alleviates motion sickness. Additionally, ginger inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX-2) and lipoxygenase pathways, providing anti-inflammatory relief for osteoarthritis (comparable to ibuprofen with fewer GI side effects). 120 capsules – two-month supply (one capsule twice daily). Take with water; may cause mild heartburn in sensitive individuals. Contraindications: gallstones (increases bile secretion), bleeding disorders (mild antiplatelet effect), and take caution with blood thinners.
